    5.0

I appreciated the availability of Welsh cakes on arrival, adding a nice local touch to the stay. The variety of rooms offered was impressive, catering to different needs and preferences.

I found the bathroom facilities a bit outdated, which left something to be desired in terms of comfort. The noise level was another issue. there were complaints about disruption from nearby restaurants, and check-in was a bit disorganized, causing confusion on where to park. I also faced difficulties with the parking situation, as it became complicated during peak times due to overlapping use from a busy restaurant. I was disappointed that my room did not match the scenic sea view I was promised and ended up overlooking the car park instead.

    shabby bathroom
    disappointing cake

i was utterly dismayed by the shabby little bathroom and the fact that my "sea view" was merely a car park. also, the staff’s inability to reserve me a table at dinner was just the cherry on top of this disappointing cake. i almost thought about leaving a nice review, but i just couldn’t.

    decorated room

    service absence
    parking convenience
    busy environment

The room was beautifully decorated and offered a delightful view of the beach, creating a perfect backdrop for the stay. The attentive staff enhanced the experience, always ready to help despite being busy. Breakfast was decent, although the absence of staff upon arrival was noticeable, making service feel slightly lacking. The location is fantastic, but parking could be a bit tricky during peak hours.

    sea view
    cozy guest house
    accommodating staff
    comfortable setup

We really enjoyed our stay at this cozy guest house. The sea view was a highlight, especially while having breakfast. The kids had a blast exploring the beach just a stone's throw away. The staff was incredibly accommodating, making our family feel right at home.

My kids wished for a more comfortable setup, especially for tired little ones after a long day.

    Welcoming atmosphere by the sea

The highlight of my stay was the warm hospitality of the staff and the delicious breakfast that included fresh local ingredients. Watching the sunset from my sea view room was a perfect way to end the day.

If I had to nitpick, the furniture in my room felt slightly dated but was still comfortable and clean. A minor detail in an otherwise lovely experience.

My stay at Anchor Guest House was delightful, with a room that was clean, comfortable, and offered a lovely sea view. The staff were incredibly accommodating, especially when they prepared a sandwich for me to take as I missed breakfast. The atmosphere felt very welcoming and homely.
